The Bible does not say that we should abstain from meat. Those of the Judaic faith continue to follow their teachings of old, however, and refrain from eating pork in any fashion.
For the Christian faiths there is no restraint on what can be eaten except in moderation in all. Of the wild beasts we should only eat in times of hunger or deprivation when domesticated animals are not available.

The dietary laws for Israel recorded in Leviticus, chapter 11, which include, for example, a prohibition against eating pork, were given for specific religious and, perhaps, health reasons. The New Testament, however, makes it clear that observation of these Old Testament food laws for religious reasons is no longer required in the New Testament era. Jesus Himself declared that all foods were "clean" (Mark 7:17-23). In Acts 10:9-16, Peter was informed by God through a vision that he was not to reject the use of certain animals for food on a religious basis. The apostle Paul also writes, "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer" (1 Timothy 4:4).
The Bible makes it clear that "the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17). There is no saving grace in either eating or not eating certain foods. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; see Ephesians 2:8-10. This, of course, does not mean that all animals we use for food are of equal value from a health standpoint.
Many people feel they can win God's favor and have eternal life by following the dietary laws of the Old Testament. But this is a misunderstanding. You cannot save yourself—but Christ can, and He will as you commit your life to Him by faith.

No. Early on in Genesis God gives permission to eat animals. Then further in the scriptures when the law was given to Moses God gave specific animals that were considered unclean to eat. And then the Christian law did away with the Mosaic law, so all animals are clean to eat.

After the flood, God told Noah that they could eat animals since the flood destroyed all the vegetation. Therefore, its logical that before the flood, they were vegetarians. Also, there's no mention prior to that of man eating meat.

In the old testament it told us not to eat any unclean meat. Like pork and other stuff I don't remember, but it doesn't apply anymore.

Pork Forbidden: God ordered Moses: “And the swine is unclean to you…”(Leviticus 11:7). Jesus never ate pork in his life. Muslims and Jews never eat pork.

You can eat any kind of food as long as it does not have blood in it.
Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

From Genesis 1:
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
****Pay close attention to Genesis 1:29 - 30... The Garden of Eden was paradise on earth before Adam and Eve sinned. God originally made humans and animals to be vegetarians. God gave humans "control" over animals, but he gave grains and fruits for FOOD. After Adam and Eve sinned, the whole idea of "paradise" was destroyed. Things changed and humans had to work harder for their food. Also, since there was evil and sin in the world, God gave out his laws. That's when the kosher laws came in with not mixing meat with dairy, eating meat that came from animals slaughtered in a certain way, not eating certain animals and types of seafood, etc.
