Depends
Usually the coolant in the radiator is green,
Look for a leak around the hoses.
there are heaps of rubberish hoses that carry water. It may be that one has perished.
Feel the hoses particularly near the hose clamps. if they feel soft and "squishy" that could be the problem hose. If it isnt it soon will be.
Checkthe water level in the radiator and or overflow bottle. Fluid must be coming from somewhere.
Sometimes on a very hot day and if the engine had become hot fluid may leak out of the overflow due to preasure build up. But this shouldnt happen.
If the car is an old car and has no overflow bottle and if this is the first use after filling the radiator, it may be that the radiator was over filled and the water expanded when hot?
If it is a water leak it WILL be a problem if not corrected.

sounds like there is a coolant leak if you had to add water. a loss of a little coolant over a long period of time is normal but any more and theres a problem. The cooling system is a colsed, presurized system that shouldn't be subject to leakage unless there is a problem in the system. There are several components to the system that could be the source of the leak. I would reccomend having your car checked out soon and do not drive it if it is overheating. good luck

its probably a busted hose and the green stuff is radiator fluid, if your car is over heating stop driving it right away because the problem can easily be fixed if you dont mess it up for good. check all the hoses for holes or tears, the fan is it working? and then finally the thermostat.

it must be winshield washer fluid or that faster or later the a/c became serviced and a leak detector answer became extra to the gas to make it much less complicated to discover leaks of the a/c device and is green colour.

thats your anti-freeze leaking, thats why your car heated up, you have a bad hose, waterpump or radiator, get it fixed before you drive it again or you could end up damaging the motor.
