oh my god no! i think you need to go and speak with your doctor, and possibly a psychologist immediately. You can cause serious damage to yourself and your baby, and should not try ANYTHING to induce labor yourself. you need to go and speak with a professional, and you can schedule the exact day and time you want to go into labor, but there is so much risk involved in what you are saying. You need to seek out others in your life.

i just wanted to say i tried castor oil with my daughter it didnt put me into labor it just gave me the worst stomach ache i have ever had and i spent the rest of the night sitting on the toilet.... it was not a fun experiance
i also tried a few other things i found online i was miserable nothing i tried worked your body will go when it is ready and if you really want to have the baby now try and get your doctor to induce you or maybe strip your membranes (with some ppl that helps the dilation or something like that:)
i did go in to labor a week later on my own though i spent all day walking at the stores and then most of the night cleaning the house well i was sore and tired but restless and couldnt sleep so kept working (i scrubbed the lines between the tiles in the kitchen and everything lol)my water broke at 12am on the 27th of sept and i had my daughter at 8:58 am hope that helps

Girl, don't trip on these other peoples answers. I don't know why people have to be so freaked about things. I have heard the castor oil thing too, but don't know much about it. Maybe some of the people that answered you don't know what castor oil is. Also I have heard sex could induce labor, but it's not really the act but the sperm that induces.

I was thinking about castor oil too, but I decided against it because of a very important fact. If you take castor oil, it could cause the baby to have its first bowel movement inside instead of right after delivery. You then run the risk of the baby swallowing it and getting sick. This would cause your baby to stay in the hospital for longer then you are planning.
As long as you are full term, try black cohosh and walking. You can get it at any drug store. Good luck and be safe !

My mom told me to do castor oil and I tried. Have you tasted that crap? It is a thick, syrup-like liquid with no taste. And I did not go into labor. I did the walking thing and it did not help. **What I did do to induce labor was take ex-lax.** It made me have contractions (not to mention the bubble guts) and my doctor only gave me something to stop my contractions and help me sleep. He had plans for that day and said that if he could he would like to prevent from delivering on that particular day. I was so ticked.

using castor oil does not have any good studies to prove that it works, but has been practiced for decade, and it moat likely will cause a bad effect on your gut. There are many techniques that are said to help induce labor such as: walking, sex, and nipple stimulation. but none of these will work if your body is not ready.

If you have a man involved, get him to lick, suck, nibble or otherwise manipulate your nipples. This often causes things to start. Otherwise, there are many essential oils that have quite a startling effect (which is why they are avoided during pregnancy, to avoid premature labour), and when you are due, there is no harm in going to an aromatherapist and getting massaged with one of them. They help in speeding up the whole processs as well, which is always good.

Hmmm. I know it gets pretty desperate near the end, but if your baby gets tangled in the cord or has some other problem because it is pushed out before its time, wouldn't you feel horrible?
Just relax. No matter how frustrating pregnancy is, I found it to be easier than the first few months after the birth!
