the only bottles i can get my baby to take is Playtex drop ins

the platex bottles with the drop ins. the regular bags that go with the bottles work just as well as the drops and are alot cheaper if u buy generic, those are the best bottles and have been around for many many years, u push the hair out of the bag after making the bottle and u can see that there is no air in the bottle and makes for a less gassy baby and less spit up. they are hte best and the only ones i used up untill my daughter was 14 months and off a bottle. i also plan on using those with the next baby, im 9 weeks preg.

I used the playtex with the drop in lines for both of my children. My son was very colicy and I tried the Dr. Brown Bottles, but they took a lot more time to clean and didn't help. I liked the drop in liners because I was always worried about getting the bottle clean enough (the dr. Brown always smelled like formula no matter what I did). I also used the generic liners so where I live they were about $5.50 for 100 of them.

I'm 39 weeks and due on monday. I was struggling too as i want to combine breast and bottle and heard it was difficult for the baby to get used to both. I was recommended Tommee Tippee wide neck bottles with the special teet that is supposed to mimic a nipple. Obviously i haven't been able to test it yet, but it was suggested by a number of mothers i know. Good Luck!

You should really wait to get bottles until after the baby is born.

You should not introduce a bottle until at least 4 weeks, and not all babies will take all bottles. You may have to experiment with a few to see what your child likes.

We used playtex nursers a few times, but my son didnt get a bottle all that often.

Congrats on the impending little one. They're alot of fun! I left some links to check out... its really important to be informed about breastfeeding going in and these sites helped me alot!

Best wishes!

I used Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles, they are fab, shaped like a breast so baby doesnt fell the difference! I used these when I stopped breast feeding my daughter at 4 weeks, and she made the move from breast to bottle superbly! I havent heard of the playtex ones that everyone keeps mentioning! I am in the uk though! Good Luck!

Hi there. I breast feed for the first 4 months and then used Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles and breast pump. They feel like the breast to your little one and so they take to the transition much easier. They also have an anti colic vent so little one doesn't get too much wind. Have heard that the Avent ones are good too but never used them. Best wishes for the birth! Hope this has helped.

First, check out nursing. If you try and decide it's not for you, then you at least know and can say that you tried...it takes about a week for you and baby to get the hang of it.

Breast milk is a better protien for your baby. Breastfed babies are less likely to be obese children/teenagers/adults. Breastfeeding gives baby added immunity....there are white blood cells in breastmilk which help babys immune system. Breastfeeding actually helps bond mommy and baby better. Breastmilk doesn't stain when they spit up. Breastmilk is always the right temperature and is always free! It can be stored in the freezer for up to three months. And breastfed babies smell so sweet..formula fed babies have a sort of stale smell to them.

Now, off my soapbox...I used the cheap, plastic Gerber ones. My sister in law swears by the Playtex ones which have the drop-in liners. I would say don't spend a digusting amount on bottles. They break, get lost, get goobery and ultimately need to be replaced.

Here's to a speedy delivery, healthy baby and healthy mommy! Take good care!

I liked the Avent because of the specific flow control nipples they have. They were the only bottles my twins would take for a long time because even the "slow flow" nipples from other brands came out too fast and they would choke and spit up. I got a more "custom" flow from the avent. I would suggst these bottles.

I just used Avent bottles they also make a sterelizer to fit them which is handy!!! Also you can always find teats for them in all shops that do baby feeding equiptment unlike some other brands. I think they are the safest bet.
