windows 2000 and xp home edition and no sound.?

I have windows 2000, I put xp home edition on top of it but i dont have sound and I can't get pci input device. What should I do?

Try and install your Sound Drivers, Either from your Mother Board Support Disk (s) or download them from your Mother Board Site.

When you "Overwrote" your O/S, These drivers were possibly deleted and not wrote in.
