I have asked a question before about my 98 Honda Accord LX 4cyl. When driving up hill and trying to go as in speed up, the car acts like it is getting now p ower and it doesn't want to go. I had the computer ran and there were some error messages that had to do with the cylinders misfiring and something to do with the catalyst. Well I took advice from here and changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and the rotor button...and it still has not fixed the problem. I was wondering if anyone knew what would cause this other than the above mentioned things. I do not think it is the distributor I actually have a feeling that it is the catalytic converter. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Does it seem to severely run out of gas on a long hill, as in a marginal fuel filter. Cat cons can clog, esp. when the engine is running crappy. How about an Oxygen sensor? Sometimes it's cheaper to get a good diagnosis rather than swapping lots of parts. Or, these things can be tested.

I had that problem last fall. I did the tune-up, fuel injection booster/cleaner etc... I finally broke down and took it into a garage. I was a bit mad at myself to pay the mechanic all this money to have him tell me I needed a new PCV valve! Something I should have figured out from the start! Also check your vacuum hose. A small whole can cause this as well.

Have you checked your air or fuel filter? You didn't mention them. The engine needs proper fuel air mixture to run properly. Either could cause a loss of power.

Change your air filter.... you probably need a new cat converter, your could be clogged.

(for a manual car) If it has no power but you can hear power it is the clutch and you will need a new clutch.
