yes, theres go to be. Carl Sagan answered the question years ago. Even if the probability of life occurring somewhere is so small because of all the stuff that has to occur for it to happen(right size star, right size planet with right chemical composition the right distance away from the star, etc, etc,..) there are just to many stars out there for us to be the ONLY ones who met the conditions for life. Its a matter of probability.
On a side note, I may have a deeper answer to the question. Nobel prize winning physicist Richard Feynman did a series of taped lectures back in the 60's. in one of which he argued that the universe was infinite because it has no center point. Any object or "thing" that has a finite volume has some 3-dimensional point within it that is its center., often called a centroid(for homogeneous entities); an "origin" so to speak. However, he then went on to mathematically show how, when measuring physical phenomena in the universe, where you are measuring from in relation to the origin will have no effect on the result of your measurements, you'll get the same results. Two people observing the same thing from different points in space will measure the same results. therefore, there is no true origin of the universe from which to reference any other point in space.
No origin = no finite volume.
No finite volume = infinite universe.
Infinite universe = infinite number of stars.
Infinite number of stars = infinite number of planets.
Infinite number of planets = someone else has gotta be out there.
Anyway, that's what I think ...

At one time no life existed in the universe,it was a big dumb beast that was evolving unknowingly.
Some way the universe developed the capacity to become aware of itself and this began the proliferation of life in the universe.
We and others like us were the result we are the eyes and ears of the universe,it's consciousness.

I think it's almost impossible for there not to be other life in this universe. Earth is really quite young as far as the universe goes, there are many many planets that have been here billions of years longer than Earth. so it's almost impossible that some other planets out there don't contain life of some sort.

The probability is around .999999999999 Multicellular life: .999 Animal life: .99 Intelligent life: .9+ Technologically advanced life >.1 & <.9 This covers all space and all time, not just this galaxy here and now.

your question isnt overly intelleligent. of course there is life out there. The universe is huge. would be a waste of space to only have life on earth. we arent that special, sorry

Yes! In so big universe that doesn't have end can't be just one live form there must be more! In 1000... Galaxy's, stars like our there must be a planet with live! NASA know about it but don't want to tell! ( silver_hawk_gragon@yahoo.com) (silwer_howk_girl@hotmail.com)! Believe if you want to see it!

well just think our sun is a star surrounded by 8 planets excluding pluto and all those stars you see are suns with planets probably around them and theres got to be some kind of life form maybe giant creatuers or small single cell ones but theres got to be something

A man in the 1970's prophesized that there was water in outter space. It was recently discovered. The man also prophesized there was TREEs in one planet somewhere in outter space but other than that...............no other life. So no I do think there is anything beyond what we have on earth.
