My skin tone's a bit unusual because I'm oriental-caucasian mixed, but it leans more strongly towards warm. I've wanted purple streaks for years but I'm afraid it's too blue for me. I've also considered reds, magentas, oranges and greens (not all together!). Any opinions?

if it's just highlights any color will go, i have a yelloish skin and I had magenta for a while, but pick a color you will really love to see everyday, because that's a one time thing it's hard to get those colors to shine and not fade, so the one you pick get a big bottle for touch ups!

Hi

Id say purple would actually suit you fairly well. If you have warm skin tone then it would look good... but i think colours like purple look best when the rest of the hair is very dark brown/black.

Think about thou how many streaks you want... as the more you have the less you will be able to wear other colours as in clothes as some shades will really clash.

My friend used to have a few purple and a few fushia streaks in her hair... she used to wear purple eyeliner it looked soooo nice.

I LOVE this idea! I think purple would look HOT against black. You'd have to bleach the streaks that you want to a light blond first for the color to really stand out. If you get a semi-permanent Crayola color first, the kind that washes out, you can experiment to see which one you like against your skin tone the best before making a slightly more permanent choice.
Have fun!

I think the purple or blue ones would be pretty. I personally do not like it when oriental people dye their hair blonde because it always looks so fake but I love colored streaks in darker hair. Have fun and do what you want--be yourself :-)

i think red streaks would look good. The color red, not the hair shade red. Also try the purple, that could look good, but if u really dont think the purple would look good, use the red. Lime green would also be really pretty.

try mixing a little purple with orange.
I'm irish, but my colors are warm. I have brown eyes and i think purple looks fabulous with orange/red hair. It should balance out for you. Should also look good with gold lipstick outlined in purple....IF you wear lipstick.
that's just what i think.

Purple and blue. A metallic kind of green would be okay too.

wouldn't want to put chemicals on your hair would u, i think the natural hair is more beautiful than coloring it, streaks would be fine, but check them out if they can be removed look in the mirror and see if it suits u thats all i can say

Don't get brightly colored highlights at all.

The point of them is to look subtle and natural, and too many people abuse highlights and end up looking like tigers. You should do a chestnut color, or dark chocolate color.
