I have a 1999 Dodge truck, Automatic, and it drives fine, but when I am stopped like at a light or a stop sign, there's kind of a grinding sound coming from it, that goes away when I accellerate. ANy ideas?

It might be the brakes my mom had red ford focus and the truth was it sucked every time we had to stop it made a nose and it ended up being the breaks but that car came out with many problems. Try taking it to a tune-up or a place were they fix cars were they have good experence and tell them to check the brakes.

It might be a short in your brake sensor wire coming from the parking break. Does it from time to time click? If so thats what it is. Otherwise check the brake pads. If it grinds as you are braking thats your rotors. {SP}

Sounds like you might have uneven wear on your brake pads. I would take off the wheel and check it out.

Brake pads might be getting low and this is the sound they emit.

Maybe it's your disk brakes - have those checked out.
