10.5 weeks pregnant. Been having a ton of U/S's due to some bleeding and a car wreck. I love ultrasounds and hearing my baby's heartbeat! Now that bleeding has stopped, my OBGYN sees no reason for another U/S for at least a month! Am I normal for being a little obsessive with this? I had one miscarriage about 2-3 weeks pregnant before. Even though OBGYN says all is perfect, I still am a little nervous!

I hear ya! I'm 28 weeks and I'm still nervous. I worry about the baby alot. About a 2 months ago I decided to rent a doppler. I got one from babybeat.com. I've been using ever since. They say you can't hear the heartbeat until about 12 weeks (10 at the very earliest) but as time goes by it's easier to find and hear. I think it's the greatest thing. It definitely puts my mind at ease. I try not to use it all the time- only when I start to get very nervous or worried. It costs me about $25/month to rent.

I rented a bellybeats doppler. It works great, but I'm further along than you are. Look into the different kinds and just know that the earlier you are, the harder it may be to find the heartbeat, so don't freak out if you can't find it right away. They are well worth the money though! Best of luck.

Yes the ones that you rent are very good. They are just like the ones Dr's use in there office. I don't think you are being obsessive there is nothing wrong with wanting to be sure your baby is OK. Once you start feeling fetal movement you will begin to feel a lot better.

Good luck!

If you want to listen to baby's heartbeat, get a stethoscope and place the two ends in your ear and the rubber piece on your abdomen.
