"Normal vaginal discharge is called leukorrhea. While leukorrhea is normal for all women, pregnant women often notice increased leukorrhea. This discharge is usually whitish in color and has a mucous-like consistency.

Is it my imagination or do I have a lot more vaginal discharge now?

It's not your imagination. It's quite common to have more vaginal discharge during pregnancy. What you're noticing is probably normal leukorrhea — the odorless or mild-smelling milky fluid discharge that you occasionally found in your underwear before you were pregnant. There's just a lot more of it now, partly because of increased estrogen production and greater blood flow to the vaginal area. This discharge is made up of secretions from the cervix and vagina, old cells from the walls of the vagina, and normal bacterial flora from the vagina.

Confirming pregnancy
Of course these are the symptoms of pregnancy and the existence of one or more is not definite indication that you might be pregnant. Just the same, if you do not experience these symptoms, it does not mean that you are not pregnant. The best way to confirm is to take a pregnancy test. Many early pregnancy tests are very accurate and can tell you early if you are pregnant or not.

If you suspect you are, you should visit your GP and he/she can confirm it and also start your pre-natal care. "

Pregnancy Cramps At 6 Weeks

2016-10-17 02:58:35 · answer #2 · answered by balbuena 3 · 0 0

Yes it's normal. Just if you start bleeding or the cramps get worse, go see a doctor.
I had lower left side abdomen's pain, and they took me in as an emergency even though there were about 30 people in front of me, so it could be serious if it is an Ectopic pregnancy or so...
If you have negative blood you need to go see a doctor every time you are bleeding!!

It depends on what the discharge looks like. If it has blood in it, call your doc. If it's clear or white-ish, and doesn't smell bad, it's normal. As far as the cramps, yes they're normal. However if you have a cramp that is constant rather than coming in waves, call your doctor.

Minor stomach cramps can occur and discharge is normal as long as it is clear. If the cramps get worse should see your doctor ASAP!

Discharge and cramps are very normal. I had cramps that hurt worse than period cramps. Discharge during pregnancy..definitely normal. I wouldn't worry unless you have lot's of bleeding. You should get the book what to expect when your expecting.
