Baby is just getting comfortable and in position. It can be painful especially if you aren't very big. Talk to your midwife about it. They might offer some suggestions to help things be more comfortable.

It's good that the baby's head it dropped, it means the baby is head down. If you're midwife isn't worried than I wouldn't be worried. I know the whole labor and delivery things is scary...but just take a deep breath, I'm sure everything will be fine. As for the pains, sometimes taking a nice relaxing bath can also help relax the baby and your muscles so the baby won't kick as much and it won't be as painful. Rest as much as you can because you are going to need it for when you're baby gets here. Good luck!!!!

He is getting bigger and is confined in a small space. He is trying to find a more comfortable position.. well as comfortable he can upside down and in a cramped area.
His head will have to go down that 10 centimeter birth canal and well he is feeling your paranoia.. try meditating and relaxing your not the first person to have a baby and won't be the last. Personally, since your so nervous, I would get the baby birthed at a hospital, if something goes wrong with you or him they know what to do there right away.

Everything is fine. Baby is out of room and as eager to get out as you probably are to have him out. The painful part is that he is really big and strong now and your body has stretched about as far as it can to accomidate him. The last few weeks of pregnancy are SO uncomfortable. Sometimes you may feel twinges when he turns his head as it will bump your cervix. He is NOT breech unless your midwife told you that he was, so disregard those comments. Babies do not turn suddenly when they are almost due, they do not have the room, so she would definitely know it and discuss his position with you.
Try to hang in there and just concentrate on getting everything ready for his arrival.

I would defiantly keep in close contact with your midwife. I think this is a natural development and the more the baby drops the more uncomfortable it gets!! I wish you the best and congratulations. I think that they can recommend some ways to sit like on a ball or something to rock your pelvis and keep you comfortable..

The baby is finding his way into your canal , pushing your pelvis bone. Not too much space left over for moving around. Nothing to do but wait ...
Sit on the big yoga ball and move in circles , it is said to help with the pain.

Go see your Doctor right now. There could be a problem with the baby, or you could be starting contractions.
