Your uterus is stretching. Relax it is common. I freaked out too when it happened to me. My doctor did the ultrasound and told me that it was just my uterine wall pulling out.

It is most likely the ligaments that support the uterus stretching as the uterus grows. Nothing to worry about. Pregnant women often have some discomfort from bowel distnention and gas, too. Does it burn when you urinate? I hope you've been checked for the obvious things like bladder infection and appendicitis. If not, I'd go back and politely demand that you be tested for these and anything else that can be ruled out with lab work.
Good luck and hang in there, I'm sure all is well.

well, when I was pregnant, I would experience a sharp pain along the sides (and sometimes across) my stomach. I asked my OB about the pain and she said it was my ligaments stretching out to make room for my expanding belly! I would imagine your pain is probably caused from the same thing, especially since you have been checked twice and everything looks normal!
Check out the book "What to expect when you're expecting" it answers a lot of these questions!

I am 9 months preg. having my 4th baby. I remember those pains. If this is your first it is more than likely your uterus stretching and preparing for the brand new object that your body is not use to. Hang in there. Your doing fine and sounds like your baby is doing fine. You can take Tylenol for the aches, but seriously it is just stretching on the inside. Good luck with new baby.

I am 9 1/2 weeks and I have the same pain. Its not everyday, but a couple tiems a week. For me it feels like cramps and its mostly on the side and soemtimes in the middle. Its just your uterus, it's getting into making room for baby and all that good stuff. My dr. also said everything is fine.

I had the same kind of pains around six to eight weeks also. It is just the uterus expanding, nothing to worry about unless you are having spotting as well. They can continue all through the pregnancy as the baby grows. A warm shower can help.

Congrats on the baby!
Don't worry the pain you are experiencing is very normal.
Your body is adjusting to the new "person" you have inside and everything needs to expand and stretch.
It will go away.
Baby's heart rate is normal.Their heart is alot faster than ours.
The pain is uncomfortable and you are aware of it 24/7 because it is just there....but it is all a matter of your body adjusting.
Be patience! it will pass.

It's probably normal. You will feel a little pain and discomfort when everything inside is stretching and growing. Relax and keep your appointments with the doc! Good Luck and congrats!

It is your ligaments & muscles stretching and your uterus growing big, thats all. you can read this article:
"The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body, providing sensory and motor function to the lower extremities. This nerve provides sensation to the back of the thigh, lower part of the leg and the sole of the foot. Sciatic nerve pain is a periodic severe pain that occurs throughout your legs.
What causes sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy?
The sciatic nerve runs under your uterus to your legs. The cause of sciatic nerve pain is thought to be associated with pressure on the nerve caused by the developing baby.
What can I do to treat sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy?
The simplest remedy is to lie on your side, opposite of the pain. This may help relieve the pressure on the nerve. Avoid heavy lifting and minimize standing for long periods of time. If you experience pressure while standing, try elevating one foot and resting it on something. Swimming may also ease discomfort.
You may experience relief by applying heat or cold to the troubled area. Your health care provider may recommend acetaminophen to relieve the pain.
It is important to contact your health care provider if the pain becomes constant, or increases in severity or frequency. "

this is most likely either round ligament pain or your uterus stretching. both occur during the first trimester as your uterus starts to expand and change. Congratulations on your pregnancy, it's an amazing journey!
