A laser printer has five steps to printing a page. 1. The charge corona (high voltage) wire charges the drum or organic photoconductor belt erasing the last image and preparing it for the laser charge. 2. The laser scans the image onto the belt/drum by modifying the charge 3. Toner is transfered to the drum/belt from the toner brush 4. The transfer corona attracts the toner from the belt/drum onto the paper. 5. The fusing roller "melts" the toner into the paper.
