Canada and the USA are both great places to live and I love em both.

I don't know what you are refering to when you say organized.
Is an organized country one in which there is more government regulation? If so I think it is fair to say Canada is a more organized society.

In terms of International respect I'm sure that Canada ranks higher than the US but they play very different roles in world politics.
The United States is the most powerfull nation on the planet and is more engaged militarily in conflicts around the world than Canada. America, taking such an active roll is always subject to more criticism.
Canada has been involved in many UN peace keeping operations that help it's international profile.

I truly don't know what you refer to as a country's maturity. The United States is older starting with the Declaration of Independance in 1776. Canada did not become an independant nation untill the passage of the British North America Act in 1867.
If you are trying to describe a nations international relations using some kind of metaphor you have lost me. Children can behave immaturely nations are obviously more complex.

There is less crime in Canada but higher taxes. In Canada the government takes enough tax dollars out of your weekly paycheck to provide for anyone who will not work. In other words the government mugs you.

In America individual initiative is encouraged. That means if someone doesn't want to work in America they must rob you personally; hence the higher crime rate.

Ther are a lot less gun related deaths in Canada because there are so fewer guns. In America the average citizen can own a gun. In Canada only the criminals have them.

It can be argued that the United States is a more violent society. That may be true except for Hockey. So in America you are more likely to be shot, in Canada you will probably just have your jersey pulled over your head and punched in the face.

One thing is for certain Canadians and Americans are so much alike that there is almost no difference between them. I'm sure the rest of the world can't tell us apart.

Viva la Difference!

Canada has approximately a tenth the size of population, than does America. It has a less favorable climate than the U.S. which may, in part, be responsible for less people settling there. Because its smaller its less visible on the world scene. In the U.S. you rarely hear Canada being mentioned. Actually unemployment in Canada is slightly higher than in the U.S., and has almost always been this way. Some provinces have economies that are too reliant on export of natural resources, and are not diversified enough, take Nfld. for example. Work can be seasonal in these industries, which can create higher unemployment.
In addition, taxes are higher in Canada especially in the middle and higher tax brackets. This can discourage industry from investing there. Despite this they have had a federal budget surplus for the last few years.
Canada has a society set up largely by the British and it seems, to me at least, to respect the rule of law more than in the U.S. There is significantly less crime there. More people have access to higher education in Canada and it is more affordable than the U.S. Also Canada does provide its citizens with universal health care which costs less per person than that in the U.S. The system does have some flaws and in some cases wait times to see a physician can be unacceptable. In the U.S. however, some people do have better health care than in Canada, however there is also 40 million people who have none at all.
While some people consider the U.S. to be aggressive militarily, or spend too much money on defense; Canada on the other hand has spent embarrassingly little on national defense, while relying on America to come to its aid. The current government in Canada has plans to significantly increase military spending.

Americans Love and Respect Canada. We are Friends and neighbors. I don't know what is going on in Canada as each of us, need to stay focused on our own Countries. God Bless Canada and America.

Canada is indeed more respected by the international community. However, Canada is not feared. That's the intrinsic problem with Canada. They have a highly educated population, forward thinking social policy, abundant natural resources but yet they are not feared. Unfortunately, political currency is always fear based.

I have been to neither. When rating a country like this I like to use impartial statistics. The UN Human Development Index is probably the most accurate measure of the success of a country.
In this Canada ranks 6th in the world, America ranks 8th.
I'd prefer to live in Canada (if I had to live in one or the other)

Of course. Knowing how most of the world thinks why would they have any respect for a country that has given most every country more money in aid and been there to help when others wouldn't or couldn't. Geez that would be so un liberal of y'all. lol Next time you need a few billion to feed your poor or need help with a military problem please don't call us call Canada or France we won't be answering the phone any more. (I wish)

Damn good question, I have had thoughts of living there cause the Gov. and parents are letting this country go to hell in a hand basket. The only thing that bothers me about Canada is ( a year or so ago there was a special news segment about how easy it was for foreigners to get in the country ( Alquada) and they said
there were several of them forming cells there to enter into the U.S. now that SUCKS.

Being someone from neither Canada or America, looking in from an outsider's perspective, I'd say yes. Straight away.

The world definitely respects Canada more than America.

(Hmm...
"Canada has no military"
Yes, you're right, no military fighting a war against people of unknown whereabouts [a.k.a. terrorists]. And no idiot President who instructed them to achieve the impossible)

Canada.....LOL! OMG.......LOL! I've been there enough to tell you there is no place like home(America). The job market is similar to ours with unemployment not to far from us, cost of living is getting high there, and health care is also in trouble. But you got to give them credit - they are not throwing out all of their country's internal rubbish (problems) for the International world to scrutinize and mock. I think we are having a reverse role in the US Congress, instead of coming out of Hollywood to be a politician, politicians looks like they want to audition for Hollywood....LOL ! You can have Canada and her royal as-sness too, God Bless my USA....LOL!

Canada has its pros and cons, as does the U.S.A. ~ that's why we stick together. In unison, we make up for the short-comings of one another ... and actually compliment each other. *proudly waves a Canadian flag*

BTW: Good gawd David ... what planet are you from?! :(
