More likely you had made some changes in your firewall settings or the wifi cards driver was corrupt for some reason. Rolling your system back fixed the problem.

something wrong with your wireless settings... did you try to check your wireless settings against your router? try to restart your router and see what happens... if it dint work then check your router settings....
