Of course not, no one is perfect you know....

Sometimes, I consider it as mostly accidental

But if I can't legibly decipher what the asker is trying to say then I'll either: 1.) Don't answer or 2.) Tell him / her to work on her spelling and grammar

It's awfully arrogant to reject a message because of its format.

Writing is not language, and if the person were speaking or signing, I'm sure the errors wouldn't be there. Writing is an artificial representation of language, and spelling is just part of the package.

If you can still understand a question even with its spelling errors, then obviously, the person has communicated well enough that you can judge the question on its own merit.

Ugh. Stop being such a snob.

No I can't consider a question with spelling errors as false. But i would give them less credit or take off some points.

Some are obviously false and done like that on purpose. I think also that there are many people here whose native language is other than English (I am one). The most disturbing to me are the school kids who absolutely cannot spell; who are obviously English speaking; and who sure seem to be sincere.

Yep....Ppl make mistakes. The question doesnt become false. But it hurts when there r errors, especially when some questions r difficult to understand either due to the spelling errors or grammar mistakes.

I think sometimes it might be foreigners, and their web browsers, (or the yahoo pages) are interpreting incorrectly, but that's a guess.

For people who blatantly leave misspelled words in their question (and answer) I call it laziness, most NEW web browsers spell check on the fly, a right click, or a "ctrl+mouse" click and it's a lot like editing some text in MS word..

you mean words like mispelling? We should not assume that everybody here their first language is English. I lot of times I make typing mistake. That does not mean anything.

It's not false, just stupid. The Check Spelling button is right there. You can't even click it?

Whether or not these people with illegible questions realize it, people judge them as being dumb when they make a post with many misspelled words.

no. If you know what they are talking about, then you really should stop being so prudish and let it go. Unless you plan on having a career as an English professor. If these things tick you off, you should just read the question I answered a few minutes a go......
