You could try hydrocortisone, or E45.
Try also to avoid dairy products, and eat lots of fruit.

I too have psorias and it always gets worse in the winter too. I have had quite good results with 'Exorex' which you can buy over the counter but it is quite expensive, but your GP shhould be able to presecribe it for you too. It is a cold tar lotion, and I really feel that it could be worth a try. I think I have become immune to it, but the first few times I used it, the psoriasis went completely.
Good luck and give it a try!

Our skin is a reflection of our inner body surface. No amount of external application of lotions or ointments or even skin transplants will really help. The inner surface is affected as a direct result of built up tensions in the mind. This won't go away until the root cause is removed.
Devote some time to calmly reflect on your life. Remember exactly when the psoriasis condition started. Then remember what were the life changing or threatening events that happened to you in the months before that time. For example, let me cite a case I cured many years back. The middle aged patient was a religious person in his youth. He had strong moralviewson personal conduct. Bur he was totally shocked when a widow, much elder to him in age initiated him into sex and told him to forget about morals. In the excitement of the turbulent youth, he complied with her advice and gave the go by to scruples. A few months later the same lady got him marriage proposals for her neice who was more good looking and of good character. They got engaged and and were about to marry when the psoriasis developed. The beautiful girl despised his sickness and broke off the engagement. And several proposals or dating exercises failed on the same count. The rate of deterioration was serious enough for him to attempt sicide. At this stage he was referred to me . Afterthree sessions of counseling he finally opened up and confessed his dilemma to me.
As is my practice, I advised him to forget that he had ever told me about it, and then to write the experience down in a story format as if it had happened to a third person. This allowed him freedom to be completely honest with the record of events. After that we went together to a lonely place and burnt the paper and spread the ashes into the flowing water with nothing left as trace. I advisedhim to make a resolve not to do anything against his own better judgement, and to have regullar washing of his body with magnesium sulfate solution 50 grams to 5 litres of water.

The external symptoms disappeared and excellent healthy skin emerged from below in three months' time. He is now married happily and the father of two lovely children.

Did you get the message? Whatever it is that had trigerred the mental tension, write it down confidentially, make sure it is a complete story and then resolve not to allow the temptations to cloud your better senses. Destry the record completely so that it does not fall into wrong hands and restart the story all over. You will soon be at peace with yourself and the psoriasis will be history. There is beautiful life waiting for you! Embrace it with true honesty.

Wash with Dove soap (the white unscented one) then use Hydrocortisone cream. You can get an over-the-counter one called H45, but I use one on prescription called Hydrocortisone 1% cream. Also, Aqueous Cream is very good, and you can get it from chemists. You can use it as a wash as well as a cream.
And, not too many dairy products.

You are not going to cure it, but depending whereabouts you have it on your body, try using "Vaseline" and covering with a cotton cloth, especially at night time, this is what my wife does and it allows her to get a good nights sleep.
