I'd like to get highlights, and red is my first option, not a really intense shade, one that would 'match' me, to say [I'm kind of pale, and have dark hair]. I don't want to get blonde-ish ones, I think that [on me, at least] they look kind of, well...cheap. My other option, would be bleaching it to white, and dye it blue/dark blue, with some pink....crazy I know....but that's how I do...lol.

Red highlights are much easier on your hair and much easier to mantain than bleached and colored to blue hair. My frind has dark hair with red highlights, it looks awesome one her and very unusual. I have bleached hair, it looks great but take it from me - it is a giant pain in the rear end to in terms of maintenance.

Red and black is the best. My girlfriend is wicked pale, but her hair is dark blood red and black.

I think the red will work. Don't get fire engine red.
