Good observation! Yes, we are doing just that and the chief agent of that is Walmart. Practically everything Walmart sells was made in China at slave labor wages. This forces all other businesses to either also buy from China or go out of business. This means that Walmart and like companies kill American jobs and send trainloads of cash to China, a country that hates us and has intentions of world domination. We are trading our future for low prices.

China is definitely powerful in terms of armed forces except advance weaponry of course and in Economic terms. If China's economy fails definitely US and the rest of the world would fall thats how important China for US. The only reason why US is holding on to China is simply because they US can not afford to loose China. See how the stock market fell recently, if China bails out from US market it would be a disaster for the entire world. I am not a chinese but rather economist.

Did this come to you in a dream, or are you finally realizing this fact ?

Money alone isn't what is making China stronger. The dependence the US has on China weakens the US and makes China stronger, too !

Congress oversight is trying to decide how to limit the dependence the US has on China, for war materials.

Duh ! Will we have to ask China's permission to go to war against them, when they are making materials we so vitally need to fight a war ? Man, are we friggin stupid, or what !

I know, let's put Pelosi in charge !

Yes, we are aware. And we're also desperately attempting to persuade the Chinese to adopt a lassies-faire approach to their economy, which would allow the US to gain a major advantage. Technically, it's a catch-22; we can't live with 'em, and we can't live without 'em. But for now, in fact, perhaps forever, we won't have to worry about them. While it's true that their economy is growing exponentially, it's also true that it's growing much more difficult to sustain such an economy. Think of a wheelbarrow trying to support forty tons of concrete. It may be able to move.. an inch or two, but not for long, and not very far.

With out-sourcing and giant corporations running the US, we are spreading our money everywhere. The US's middle class is slowly becoming lower middle class and lower middle class become poor and, geez, the poor. Can you imagine? We need to keep middle income jobs here. It's the backbone of our civilization. China is going to pass us and fast if we stand still and do nothing.

China's been financing our war, of late--the US owes them a huge deficit. How much money are we giving them back?

What's wrong with that? China might be different than the US, but it doesn't mean it's worse. I think China is a strong, individual nation. I might not agree with their human rights ethics, but it's a beautiful country with a beautiful culture. Not everyone lives like Americans, and not everyone wants to.

I like the argument that as long as we give them our money, they need us. Someone tell Bill Gates I like that and he can give me all his money.
As soon as the President screws up, these jerks make awful excuses.
