Possibly, but younger generations are spoiled with technology. Caring is the last thing they do. I'm 15, and I know if that were to be brought up anywhere with my age group.. People would listen to the "speech", but would talk about how stupid it was later, and how they don't care.
I believe.. ourselves are our worst enemies..

Well, first of all, you are incorrect to say that older generations have destroyed the environment. First of all, until the late 80's and early 90's, we weren't completely sure of what impact pollution would have on the environment. Yes, we knew it was bad, but we didn't know just how bad.
It was not self serving consumerism that ruined anything... it was self serving big business who ignored warnings and who felt that the environment was theirs for the taking that ruined it.
I believe in global warming and I have seen recently where buildings are sinking through the ice because weather is too warm to keep ice frozen as it should.
I am old enough to see what has changed over the years, and as one who has believed that we need to be careful and conserve, I have been laughed at because I believe that other generations, and large corporations have had a bad effect on the air we breath.
Should the younger generation hate the older generation? Of course not, but they should know what has happened and they should work to improve it... as many of the older generations are now doing.

Hate is rarely the answer. Older generations often didn't know that what they were doing was a problem (look at all the people still denying global warming, even now that the President has admitted environmental change could be a problem). Older generations also created incredible medicines and life-saving techniques which are helping the young. The older generation invented TV and movies and the internet. The REALLY older generation stopped Hitler.
It all comes out in the wash.

You can't though, and you know it. It is not the individuals, but the masses. Perhaps they ARE to blame, but what can we do but attempt to fix this problem. In a way, it's nice because it's a mission- a goal in life that can help people, inspire commerce and development, and create global awareness amongst communities. But perhaps I'm being too optimistic. I am aware that there are many problems due to them- but don't forget that there were also many instances where they weren't even aware that they were causing widespread damage. We cannot judge and rule at the same time.

What an idiotic question(s).
Younger generations should respect the generations before them. If parents do their jobs correctly then this will take place.
Our older generations fought wars to provide our freedom, worked hard long hours to provide homes and futures for us and did not ruin the environment.
The person asking this question sounds like someone who has no respect, no historical reference and quite clearly was not raised properly.
No further time is warranted on this matter.

Well, thanks to smart guys like Paul Ehrlich and others who warned us about upcoming problems, we were able to take action and avoid many of the problems we were headed for back in the 1960s and 1970s. We spent a lot of money on cleaning up pollution and installing anti-pollution devices, and we have started and make huge progress on educating our young people about pollution and environmental problems. If it weren't for the progress we've made in studying these problems, young people wouldn't even know about them!!! Of course, in the last 30 years we have used a lot of resources - but we didnt use them for ourselves, we used them to provide a cushy life for our spoiled kids who wanted cars, educations, big houses, luxurious schools, and trips to DisneyWorld on big planes. So the resource were really used for the benefit of todays young people, rather than for the old guys. The real people who should be hated are the young people of today who are unwilling to give up the luxuries we've created for them. Their children will be the ones who will suffer.

You are aware that the entire "younger generation" was created and cared for by the "older generation" aren't you? How selfish of the older generation to build houses, schools, hospitals, etc. so that their children could live better lives than they had.

no, i think we should all learn from each other. elderly people have a lot of experience and wisdom, even if they may be naive about the impact they have on the environment.
