Congratulations! On both your upcoming wedding and for having amazing bosses.......wow! The weather during that time of year will still be warm. You have to remember that even in December it's usually in the upper 70's during the day. So October will probably be much warmer than that but not as hot as July. But who cares, anyway; after all you'll be with your new wife and regardless of the weather you'll experience a wonderful time. Oh and as far as the person who commented that it's too soon to be thinking about your plans, well, he's wrong. Many people plan their vacations a year or more in advance. So you're right on track! :)

Not long ago someone else asked about the weather and waterparks at Disney in October, so seems like others are making the same plans! I'm going to copy my reply to that, and hope you find it helpful...but the short answer is Oct is one of the best times to go, with the nicest weather. Have a great trip and your soon to be wife is a lucky lady!

Oct is IMHO the best time of the year to go. I went a few years ago in Oct, including Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. That is such a blast and the crowds are limited so you can easily get on the rides. Hope you will be there then.

I was down there for for a total of 2 weeks and I think it rained once for a few hours. And the weather was warm not hot, and almost no humidity. I didn't know Florida could be so perfect. And there was only one day the crowds were bad. Most of the time it was a joy! And the rooms were cheaper too.

Check on the waterpark though...the disney one we wanted to go to was closed for repairs so we skipped it. But yes it was warm enough, just not open. Also keep in mind the parks close early most nights, which would have been a problem if we weren't there for so long that trip. A few attractions were closed but the only one we really missed was the water park. But it was the best weather/crowd situation this Disneyholic has ever had! Have a blast!

The weather can be truly lovely in October - we have gone often. It is generally fairly warm, but the humidity is dropping from summer levels. We were burned once - by Hurricane Wilma - and got out of town a bit early to avoid the worst of the storm, but hurricane season is pretty unpredictable. We've had an issue once out of 5 or 6 October trips. Travel insurance is reactive, not proactive. We weren't covered when we decided to leave early, but we would've been had we had to stay longer. Congratulations - have a wonderful honeymoon!

My birthday is in October, so we have been to Florida several times, plus I am not too far away from it so I know how the weather is:

January - March -- Rather Cool and clear skies
April - May -- Some rain, warmer conditions
June - Early September -- Stormy, too hot, also Hurricanes
Late September -- November -- Great Weather, warm
December -- Cold

My family goes to Sanibel Island each October and last October I was in St. Augustine, I also used to live in Miami. This is what I can tell you GO!!!!! First of all there is nobody at the beaches which is good for you! The kids are in school and who really takes a vacation in October. Also if you want to visit any of the theme parks there is nobody there! We went to Busch Gardens last near and never had to wait, we went to Disney the year before that and waited 15 min at the most. Also there are a lot of places that run specails in the off season be sure to contact the local visitors center for where you are going. They know the specials and will send coupons, maps, info ect... The only thing we have had to worry about is hurricaines.....only happend once out of 20 years...you take the gamble. I say go for it you will love it! The weather for the most part is cool for FL 80 is not bad for me! I also found that it is easier to get tours ect. going at this time of the year. Again the kids are in school and there is nobody there. For the most part it is nice and "cool" (again cool to me is 75-80) the water is good and yes you will have sun. Good luck I hope this helps and congrats to the two of you!

Of course, it depends where in Florida you are going, but it's safe to say that it won't be too hot. It should be a comfortable mid 70s to mid 80s. You'll have to pack to be prepared for everything. It is Florida and rain is common, so expect it to rain and some point. The weather in October is beautiful, not too hot and not too cool. Pack sweatshirts and pants for nights.

You have great bosses to send you on a honeymoon, and congratulations!

It will still be warm (70's) and sometimes hot (80-90's) during the day. the big change is that it's a little cooler at night and in the morning (60's). During the summer, it's as hot at night as it is during the day. October is also the foggiest month. Hurricane season is still in full swing but your hotel should be prepared and very safe. The abundance of storms we got in '04 was rare. There were almost none in '06.

As a native Floridian, I'd have to say that it is my favorite month of the year! In fact, we got married last October on the beach! It is usually warm and breezy.. Not hardly any storms.. Besides ~ Fla storms come and go in a matter or hours! Our weather is very unpredictable and storms never last long.. But no, stormy season is between May-August. Sept is usually still warm out. October is starting to cool down and simply be gorgeous out!!!

Congrats to you and your bride-to-be! I hope you have TONS of fun on your honeymoon here in Fla!!!

October in Florida should be nice pretty much anywhere you go. August is a big rain month, but October should be good.
