They would see the default font instead of yours.
The ways to beat this problem are:
Turn the text into an image. The image is of whatever font you want - and because its a normal image (like a photo) it will show up exactly how you want. This is good especially if you are only using it for titles. If you have lots of text - turning them into images isnt a good idea.
You can have a link on your site saying "For Best Viewing pleasure - please download this font" or something - but that means the user HAS to do it or else are stuck with default font.
And you can also choose a few different fonts - in order of preference. Text goes here
That SPAN woudl mean that the font would try to be Verdana first. But if the user dosnt have Verdana, it would try Arial. If no Arial, it would try Helvetica. If that wasnt there - it would use any sans-serif font.
So you can say which font you'd like best - and then 2nd best etc. You should include at least one common font in your choices.
