I have always had dirty blonde hair with some natural highlights running through it. Just recently my hair has turned a very beautiful auburn color... and i love it! In the sun it looks gold/ yellow, and then indoors it looks auburn. It is really weird, but I really really like it... so why did this happen? Is there anything I can do to keep my hair like this, or is this color change temporary?

part of the reason y it changes is cuz of the lighting. also the sun does have a bleaching affect. if you want it to stay one color i suggest using a demipermanent color to enhance it ( it isnt permanent it will fade away) and use a hair protecting agent with some spf power

Well mine used to be very black I do believe.
Now everyone ALWAYS thinks I dye my hair b/c it will turn reddish, brown, dark brown, and all these other colors mixed together.
Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don`t, but it always turns dark during winter, and now since it is turning sunny my hair color is turning back to the other color once again.
It is natural.
I`m sure it will just keep changing back and forth. It probably just depends what kind of hair you have. On your nexthair cut ask your hairstylist bout it.

The same thing happens to my hair, only it turned from chestnut to a darker-deeper brown. I love it as well. This happened during last summer, and its the same color. I'm not sure how to prevent it from changing back, but mine hasn't, if that gives you hope. :D

I agree it is beautiful. Mine did the same thing. When your hair starts to change color, like it is. This means that your hair is turning gray gradually. Enjoy it. I like mine.

my hair growing up was really blonde, now every year it keps getting a little bit darker!!! it's very wierd and upsetting.You can't do anything but color it.

...its oftn due to sun....n also new hair grow....comparatively havin slightly diff structure n colour.......which somewht effects ur hair colour......u may oftn notice thick hair growin along with some thin ones nxt to it........tht depends on ur diet as well...
