Does using "Dove" conditioner on dry hair ruin your hair?

I've also heard that it can also be used kinda like gel, is this true?

it doesn't have to be dove conditioner, i'm just asking about conditioner overall.

If you put too much products in your hair it will dry your hair out. Conditioning is okay especially on dry hair but don't do it every single day same with shampoo. For dry hair try leaving your hair for 2 or 3 days without washing. Also, when you do not condition the roots of your hair. The bottom half is all you need to do unless you're into major greasiness. The first time, condition normally. The second time use a (store-bought) deep conditioner mixed with your regular conditioner and leave it in for a while. The last time you condition rinse it out with cool water This will really help seal in the moisture and add shine. Rinse as thoroughly as you can! Accumulated conditioner makes your hair feel dull, heavy and greasy, guaranteed. Add natural oils like avocado, coconut, or olive oil to your hair. This can be a great conditioning regime to do prior to shampooing the hair. Also mayonaisse for 30. min before showering works.

No i've heard about women using conditioner on dry hair as a leave-in and it's perfectly fine. Just don't put on too much. I dont think it can be used as a gel..just something to give your hair some moisture and make it easier to comb through.

I use a conditioner within the bathe as good as a depart in. With the depart in I simply restrict too nearly the scalp when you consider that the traditional oils out of your epidermis might be nice and you do not wish so as to add weight on the root of your hair. I believe the depart in acts to safeguard whilst styling. I just like the sunsilk line as good.
