When trying to play games the animated advertisements( usually at the top of the screen) seem to make my comp freeze, sometimes causes it to crash.What can i do to improve this. Pop up blocker is on by the way.

I assume you mean browser based games? In Firefox, I use the NoScript extension. Since ads like that are usually from outside sites, they're blocked automatically. Otherwise, I just block the sites individually.

If you're playing something like RuneScape and have a security product such as NIS2007.2, which I heartily recomend, (download the XP add-on too), then also enable the advert-blocker, this will be much more effective.

If you have an allowed/denied setting on your browser, if you add the domain of the adverts to your "blocked" list, it should have the same effect too.

You can get ad blockers i used to have norton security on my pc and that had it included..open up your anti virus program and see if you have an ad blocker and if it's on
