In Vegas(where I am) the temps have gotten up to the 70s and 80s on certain days. As a result I leave my ceiling fan running and my window open to cool off the room.

If I had a homemade incubator in my room would the temp in the incubator be effected by the temperature in my bedroom?

the temp in the incubator gets to be about 99 to 100 degrees. I'm NOT using it right now, but I wanted to know.

depends what you're using the incubator for...lol...to grow plants or raise chickens but either way, outside temp shouldn't affect incubator temp by too many degrees. the purpose of an incubator is to regulate warmer temps. hope that makes sense.

yes it would, generally speaking unless you spend quite a lot of money or have a good head for electronics an incubator will only raise or keep a temprature as constant as possible but it is very difficult to make them drop temps. you would be best off using a room that can be easily temp controlled. we use a room with no windows or with the windows covered, we use polystyrine sheets.

Yes it would. Test the incubator with the fan on and in other conditions before you get the egg.

yes, you need a constant tempature in your room, and then tune your incubator and leave it for 6 hrs to level out
