I live in a small town. I'm looking for a knee-length dress for a semi-formal event, and can find nothing. However, I'm hesitent to buy online because if it doesn't fit I'm stuck (there are no major department stores close, or I would look on those websites and return it there). I know being able to return clothing online is a little unusual, which is why I'm asking on yahoo answers. Even if not a website, advice will help. Any suggestions?

I think at Wet Seal you can return it. they have cute dresses too.

Every place I order from online allows returns. If they don't they are not on the up and up. I would make sure of the return policy before ordering and also check their size chart. That helps me a lot with returns. I purchase online all the time. :) I work from home and am ultra picky so I need them to allow returns.

it's hard buying online just for that reason. different items fit people different and sizes aren't always true to their name. i'd say sticking to a store where you can try things on.

www.windsorstore.com has dresses and i think they give you like 7 days to ship it back! .. they have cute dresses too!! .. also victorias secret lets you send it back .. they dont have many dresses but its worth a look!
