I'm just wondering if a computer technician can find deleted history, cookies, temporary internet files, etc. and can anyone else find it? i know the police can...

also, how do they do it??? and why would they try doing it?? do they check your history everytime you need a repair?? does that mean they can get personal stuff, like passwords?

I'm sure a well-educated and experienced computer technician can. Data is only truly lost when overwritten.

We are always advised not to say or do anything we don't want published. Good rule.

Yes they can. Data is never lost or gone from a computer. An overwrite will distroy most of what it is written over and a complete re-format will overwrite almost everything and make it very difficult to recover.

they can with the help of sophiscated software and technologies most technician are able to locate the temp files and internet history..
