Agree one hundred and ten percent!!!!
1 Deaths from the two substances. There are hundreds of alcohol overdose deaths each year, yet there has never been a marijuana overdose death in history. The consumption of alcohol is also the direct cause of tens of thousands of deaths in the U.S. each year.
2.There has never been a documented case of lung cancer in a marijuana-only smoker, and recent studies find that marijuana use is not associated with any type of cancer. The same cannot be said for alcohol, which has been found to contribute to a variety of long-term negative health effects, including cancers and cirrhosis of the liver.
3.Studies find alcohol use contributes to the likelihood of domestic violence and sexual assault and marijuana use does not.

I totally agree it pisses me off too. People do much more messed up stuff on alcohol which is on every corner, restaurants, etc. It's trying to make weed look bad because for some people it's a gateway drug so if they hear negative about it they'll be too scared to try it. Truth is weed will only
a) mess with your memory
b) kill braincells
besides that it is less harmful than alcohol The person may have been high during the murder but it didn't cause them to put a weapon in their hand and use it. Now other drugs may cuz it causes your emotions to go up and down. Weed will have you laying around, laughing and kinda lazy to do anything don't believe the hype.

I'd rather be around 20 people after they have smoked weed than at a bus stop with 20 pissed up people looking for a fight. Alcohol fuels aggression, wheras weed smokers tend to have a VERY short temper, but on the whole, I totally aggree with ya mate

I agree completely. It's drink that fuels the Friday night scraps not weed. I know a couple of weed smokers and they get tedius to hold a conversation with to be honest and it makes them really lazy (far too lazy to be ar*ed to start a fight anyway lol) But, of the two hobbies or habbits whatever you want to call it, I'd prefer to be around weed smokers than drunks.

You are so right. The media already associates the use of marijuana to Black people, and I think the press is getting a kick out of it. Even though I don't agree with any drug or alcohol abuse, alchohol use has the most dire consequences. People drive drunk, get alcohol poisoning, get violent, and Lord knows what else when under the influence of alchohol. I think the media is always blowing things out of proportion.

Want to answer just about any question under the sun? Follow the money. Special interests are to blame for the phenomenon you're describing. Cannabis is prohibited by the government. In order to get us to swallow the prohibition, government conducts an active and ongoing campaign to demonise cannabis cultivation and consumption. See, alcohol isn't nearly as threatening to industries such as pharmaceuticals, logging, textiles, law enforcement, corrections, etc. as is cannabis.

Totally agree with u. I had weed days don't miss them mind but good memories. I think what it is, is if people don't know about something they get scared & think that one instance is all instances as they don't know. 'Oh it must be true a policeman / politician says it, they are a pillar of soceity.' Therefore this 'trip' is built on ignorance / fear & lets be fair ignoring the truth about how evil boose really is & can be.

You're absolutely right. Alcohol causes so much more damage, yet weed is demonised so much ... perhaps if weed were legalised, things would be different. Then governments could tax it, and then they'd like it a bit better ....

I totally agree and I bet the guy you're on about either had an extreemly good reason to do what he did, or he was on something else as well as weed.

I completely agree with you! I don't smoke it (I've tried it in my lifetime though) but I know plenty of people who do. I'd rather be driving with them than someone drinking. This guy had other issues besides weed obviously.
