You can get a body wave.Its a loose curl perm. The larger the perm rods the better.You can use a large curling iron but I'd go with the body perm.

Hey. Are you talking about those big curls. Well, depending upon your hair texture, length and condition you can do the following.
If you hair takes a curl well I would try hot rollers - use the medium and large size.
If you need a tighter curl -- alternate a 3/4" barrell and 1" barrell curling iron
If you really have a problem holding a curl -- set it wet with velcro rollers, either sit under dryer or sleep in it
brush it out and use your fingers to place curls -- you want the top to be smooth and the bottom to be wavy
This would help achieve the style in Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend - for example. Not sure which one you wanted.

try Hair rollers, Barbee pins and Mose in that order but remember put the rollers in right after a shower....

get a curling iron. i have one and it has both big and a small iron. i used to use hair roller things but i couldn't stand sleeping with them in my hair.
