Cambelt drives CAM (thus valvegear) from Crankshaft.
On most modern cars- the cambelt also drives all manner of sundries such as Pwr steering, AC, brake booster, alternator, etc.

yes thats the timing belt.. (timing belt turns the CAMshaft and the crankshaft)
