I am getting some 35 inch tires for my 79 blazer 12 bolt, should I go with 3.73, 4.11, or 4.56?

And what all is needed to regear, just new ring and pinons?

For 35s, if you plan on doing anything other than driving around town, go for the 4.11s or the 4.56s

Needed:
Gear set
possibly a new carrier (depends on which gear set is currently in truck)
install kit
---Make sure you get the correct spline count for your current axles, or you'll need new axles too---

i own a shop, and if your going to go with 35,s on it go with at least a 4.11 in it and don't worry about the splines in the axle if all you change is the ring and pinion gears in it the same axles will work, but if you change the whole stump you,ll have to change the axles for that stump,i changed mine and just changed the ring and pinion gear it was easier that way and a lot cheaper also, good luck i hope this helps.

go with dodgemans advice on the ratio but get a rear end speciality shop to do it for you , setting the pinion depth is critical !!!
