I will be a high school senior next year, and this summer, my Spanish 4 class is taking a two week trip to Spain. What's a good way to get myself ready? My spanish is pretty good IMO, but I'm not so confident in my ability to comprehend native speakers, as the speak so quickly and often slur words together.

get a spanish dictionary and whenever you dont undestand look up the words. Or ask them POLITELY to talk a bit slower.

Have fun!

Yes, sometimes they speak a little bit fast but it is a matter of getting you ear used to the sounds. Watch some Spanish speaking movies in order to get used to it.

You can always ask them : Por favor habla más despacio. (singular)
Por favor hablen más despacio. (plural)

They will do it. They love to hear people trying Spanish.
