well yes Fedex will deliver to rural areas (sometimes
it might take an extra day but in some way out areas
we will use a cartage agent (i.e in Alaska for example)
(mostly likely the postal service
(thats what thats what happen to a package I put into the system
I was curious (it went via Fedex ground) it was turned over to
a cartage agent (the shipper was also the receiver so he
knew it would be given to the postal service)

They both deliver to rural areas. We live in a rural area and have had delivery by both.

UPS won't deliver to PO boxes. FedEx will.
