i dont know anything about builing one, but kinda have to...
a friend of mine has the flash software but neither of us know how to use it and wey saw the flash websites for dummies book for 10 bucks, and we all know that flash website are cool...
wat i need to know is this:
- main types of websites (html, flash, etc.)
- do i need to know flash/web design in order to understand the book?
- what is java?

1. HTML, PHP,ASP,JSP flash and java are addtional technologies used in conjunction with the languages above.
2. The more you know the better web sites you will be able to build.

but Microsoft front page and use that. its fairly straight forward. there are also tutorials on how to use. like ne1 needs dem.
flash is an object that you put in a page. not a whole website.
e.g. a game. flash can also be used as a navigation system or a entrance page. look at www.w3schools.com and scroll down the bottom and click flash.
Flash is hard to use.
HTML is a language.
right click on this page and click view sorce.
wot u c dere is HTML
go to yet agen w3schools and look for HTML tutorial
Java is a lunguage for prgrams. the program can be put inside a web page.

Go to the public library and get a good book and there are many available. I like "The Complete Idiot's Guides" (which are good for people who do not have much knowledge of a subject) and "The Dummies Guides" (which are good for people who need to solve a problem quickly).

The learning curve usually takes a few years to master halfway, if you take shortcuts the site will show it.
So, start reading.
