I was trying to get something on the computer.
It ask me to dial up on the net.
I have cable and don`t have to dial Why?

Good answers so far....

One other problem is that some programs were written when dial was still the modus operandi...and there are certain situations if your cable/dsl connection is not set correctly Micro-hell will try to walk you through the dial-up connection wizard.

Make sure you do not have any dialer Trojans installed....and then check to make sure your network connection is setup correctly...you can email me if you are not sure about the connection settings...

Your cable connection may be disconnected for the moment. If so, it will go to your previous connection. If you had a previous dial up connection, then it will go to that connection.

means you possible have a trojan dialer on the pc,
to remove these goto your interenet explorer/tools/interent options/connections and tehn remove all connections or set to never dial a connection.
