Barrych2: John might be the same in any language, but the pronunciation is not the same. John is pronounced Juan in Spanish, and Michael is pronounced Miguel. I believe the asker is asking how the name is pronounced. Since the Hawaiian language does not contain a "D", the Hawaiian equivalent must be translated.

"Diane" is a name. A name is any language is that same name. For example, if my name were "John", then it still would be "John" in a foreign language.
