"Had seven years of spanish class."

all i know is "had siete anos de espanol case" >_> but dunno if that's right.

well, you have to tell us who had 7 years of spanish classes.
if it is "she, he or I " it would be "Tenía siete años de clases de español", if it is "you" you use "tenías", if it is we: teníamos, if it is "they": tenían.

Tenia/he tenido siete anos de la clase de espanol
I had/ I have had seven years of spanish class

the "i" in tenia needs an accent and the "n" in anos and espanol needs a tilde
