So now everyone is supposed to have a name that you would understand and could spell?!
Since when are you the center of the world?!
Quit being self-centered and open your mind to all the beautiful cultures and languages out there. Every name has a meaning and history. There is NO name that is stupid! Every single one of them is beautiful.

Just because you can't understand/spell them, that doesn't make them 'stupid' ..!
Mostly they do have a meaning, in their language/culture, or it means something to them..
This world does not revolve around you & your culture only..
By the way, your question is kind of rude .. Show some respect to ppl .. or at least you could rephrase it so it won't be turned against you..!

It's called different languages and cultures. America is supposed to be the big melting pot of the world. There are going to be names out there that aren't what you might consider normal. The name Rheidol is in my family. It has significance for us. Perhaps some of the names you don't get are like that.

maybe the other people believe that your name is also stupid and difficult to spell;they are just polite enough not to say it.
and honestly,not being able to spell a name ,doesn't say much about your intellectual capacity

For my opinion, I don't think that there's every such a stupid name. A stupid name to me would be a unique name.
Each name has it's own characteristics.
The names that you would never hear to be a name are the unique and creative names.

different countries, different cultures, for example Mawza is a feminine popular name in Qatar (middle eastern country), now this name is stupid for me cuz it means in Arabic a banana!!! but for the Qataris it might not be ,,
