If you are self employed $400.
If you work for someone else I'd think they would withhold tax from your first paycheck and every paycheck you get.
You may not need to file a tax return except to get a tax refund if your income is very low. That minimum amount depends on your age and marital status.

If you are under 22 talk to your parents.
If you worked for someone other than yourself this year chances are you already paid taxes.
If you worked for yourself or recieved a 1099-Misc you need to file a tax return.
If you worked for someone else (received a W-2) and made under $5,200 you can recieve a full refund.
If you live on your own and made less than 15,000 you may be eligible for a Earned Income Credit (more money than you paid)
For additional information or to print out the necessary forms go to www.irs.gov
BASICALLY WHAT I'M SAYING IS THAT IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO FILE A TAX RETURN!!!!!!!
