well, some people deal with emotional troubles or problems, and so become jerks, and use it as an excuse. while others just love to be jerk-y and find it funny. While the rest of the people are being jerks to look 'cool' to his/her peers. OR maybe some acte like jerks to you, because they have a thing for you, but just cant admit it :]]

Humm. First, you come on hear with the name "Richard Head" and ask why people are jerks.
Second, have you ever asked yourself if you might be hypersensitive and overly emotional...and that might be why there are SO many jerks out there?
Finally, has it occured to you that some people just have personality clashes, and that is perfectally normal? Surround yourself with those your personality meshes well with, and ignore those with whom you clash.

they are not happy about themselves and yes there parents hate them. they might have bad grades they have been dumped by the love of there life, and unfortunately being a jerk is there vile personality........and all in all some people are just jerks....

probably because someone else was being a jerk to them first, so they ended up being a jerk to other people too.

i beleive people consinetrate on one thing to many,and when it dont go there way they get bad manners,and can be very rude and this is what makes them jerks.

They're possibly angry for some reason and take care of their anger by being mean or rude to others. I'm guessing they've been treated poorly and it's all they know how to be.
