History has proven that when we implement our own strategies, it is met with resistance from the white majority. An example would be the black panther party for self defense who only wanted to empower and defend the black community but was wiped out by the fbi. Accomodating a system of racial oppression is rewarded, while those who choose to fight the good fight are punished.
We are taught to accept this oppressive system that treats us like a drain on society, but when we try to become independant of this same system, we are met with all kinds of adversity. Because of this, I think most black Americans have trouble visualizing success WITHOUT accomodating the majority one way or another.
