I'm mexican, but i live in USA, and sometimes when i'm eating in some restaurants, the american ask me if i am from Philippines.

Some may. There is actually a bit of diversity within the Mexican population and there are those with more Asian appearing characteristics (one of the many theories -- and probably the most popular to date -- about the peopling of the Americas suggests that people came here from Asia. As a result, some of the people who descend from the native people of the Americas sometimes have Asiatic features, though I don't think it can be generalized to the entire population at all.

I'm from the Philippines and I've gotten:
"Are you African American?"
"Are you Mexican?"
"Are you Native American?"
And some other very strange ones!

well it is simple.
MEXICAN is a mixture of Native American and European. often you will find a mexican that looks like a native american.
NATIVE AMERICANS are asians who simply walked to America during the Ice Age in search of food. they slightly look different from other asians because of their eating habit and they most likely experience a little incest. causing difference in appearance. also their skin is darker because of the difference in sun penetration after the Ice Age was over.
so really a mexican is a mixture of asian and european
PHILIPPINOS are asians.
so the two races are related like African:Black:Mulatto ;)

Ummmm some can, but mostly no. My ex was half Mexican half Armenian and everyone thought he was Eurasian...go figure.

Some of them do but I know white people that look like black people. We are more alike than not

No. Philippians are more Asian. Although Philippians do have alot of spanish influence.
