You ran a Windows update, didn't you? Some Windows updates do bugger up the Flash player. Some registry cleaners do, as well.
You have to run the uninstaller from Adobe, then reinstall, according to the following information from Adobe.

If it doesn't work, throw it out. Buy a newer one. Technology gets outdated after a while.
