Hi
I have recently qualified as a therapist offering counselling to people with phobias but am struggling to find a suitable place for having the consultations.
I don't really want to use my home as I cannot guarantee peace and quiet with a young family.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Trudy

If you know a friendly Chemist, you might do well to ask for some time in his/her consulting room. Recent legislation has made it necessary for the Chemists to provide such accommodation to advise their customers if requested.

Do you live in your own home, I know people who have converted their garages to their own space, or built a wooden "chalet" in their garden to use, the outlay is offset by what rental would be...... plus you are near to home so no travelling, but are away from the family environment. You just have to make the distinction to your family and children that, that space is 'mummy's' space and it is not for them to go, do not make the mistake by inviting them in there to play with your or spend time. It is your work space, just as if you go out in the morning and go somewhere different. Good luck.
