My friend shocked me today and said he got it from inside a lighter, is this true? if so what lighter is it from?

It used to be tht the Zippo Co. had the best sparker for lighters using something caled 'misch' metal. Now they use something called the piezo effect. You strike a material and it gives up electrons. Now they can produce a discharge of thousands of volts when struck. The 'clicker' in a lighter will shock you with it's thousands of volts and microamperes of current.

its a gag joke. "Shocking" lighters can be found at most special gift stores such as Spencers in most malls.
