I don't mind it. I don't mind black either. You can call me whatever you need to to identify me, just don't insult me with a racial slur.
And we're cool. =)

IT'S NOT ABOUT CHOICES of who like or don't like. IT'S JUST IS WHAT WE ARE . AFRICAN American actually means AFRICANS LIVING in AMERICA. That means any and ALL NUBIAN black people of MELANIN persuasion. NIGERIANS, ETHIOPIANS, SUDANESE,TRINIDADIANS, KENYANS, DOMINCAN REPUBLICANS, JAMAICANS, Black CUBANS, black PUERTO RICANS,
MAL I ANS, HAITIANS, ETC. but this goes to show how people are CATEGORIZED for political reasons. IT'S TO disconnect , devide and CONQUER (control) . WE MUST always remain ALERT

Do people actually lose sleep over this?
I guess technically people call me Italian-American. Screw all that, I'm Italian. Drop the American part. These days it's an embarassment to be identified with this country. I wish I could conceal my citizenship.

I'm white and people don't call me a Europen American, so why the hell should they call black people African Americans. Black people ain't even black, they are brown, white people are not even white, they are more of a cream color, so I guess I am a cream European.

I don't mind. Call me black, call me African American, I don't really give a wet noodle. Sometimes this "politically correct" stuff gets on my nerves

I actually think it's over-the-top and only points out racial tension more. I just call myself black. Less syllables anyways.
