Of course. Your friend is probally ready to hit the streets partying and not wake up for 3 days and do it all again. It's normal to feel that way. Although there are some poeple who honestly don't want kids....mostly guys..but a few women. Give her time within 4 years or when she meets a good guy she will change her mind most likely!

There are lots of people that have changed their mind. There are a lot of people who haven't. At 19, she is old enough to know what she wants for her life. I knew at that age that I didn't want to be a mother. I'm now in my mid-20s and still feel the same way.
Why does it matter to you if she has children or not?

i would say there's a great chance that she may change her mind. Once she has had time to be selfish- no offense but young people ARE selfish I am 20 and proud to admit it. But having kids forces you to become "unselfish." Once she has had time to figure out what she wants from life most women find that they DO want to have kids. And now a days women are having kids older and older because of new medical discoveries and everything they're fewer risks involved --- LONG STORY SHORT -- I bet she will eventually turn around if you're willing to wait around! (ps 19 IS too young to have kids -- trust me ;)

Oh yeah. Most of my friends changed their minds after they got out of their teens. I was like that too. Then I changed my mind when I was 21. I became pregnant soon after and had my baby when I was 22. She's the best thing in my life.
My sister is 24 and goes back and forth between wanting kids and not wanting kids. Currently she really wants kids, but not until she's married (in 2008).

Even when i was a small child i use to say i never wanted children just a career and it stayed that way well into my 20's and now i have a hubby and 3children that i love to death , so yes its possible for her to change her mind eventually but there is always the chance that she might not want kids ever, so people dont.

My husband never wanted kids. So we decided together which type of birth control for the time being until he decided he wanted kids. After a few months, I found out I was pregnant. Abortion was out because I don't believe in it. Adoption was out after going through a horrible pregnancy. After we had our daughter, he fell in love with her. We now have two daughters and we're planning on having one or two more. To answer your question, your friend can easily change her mind.

She probably haven't met the right guy yet. He's going to be so amazing, so beautiful, so good to her that she'll want to have his baby. I know because I was just like her and then I met an amazing guy who loved me and accepted me the way I was. It didn't work out, but he changed my mind about a lot of things. Maybe I'll have a baby next year.
