We have a new daughter (fourth child) due in the next few weeks and I'm struggling for a name.
We've been at this for nearly eight months and our current favourite names are Francesca, Madeleine and Verity - but I've fallen out with pretty much all of them.
Our other daughter is named Isabella - so we have to keep in theme.
Best answer gets a big thank-you - and may even become someone's name...

Wow, what a response! Thanks so much to everyone who replied so far.
Probably shouldn't have used the word "theme." What I mean is we like multisyllabic names (we called our sons Christian and Alexander.)
We did use websites, baby name books etc but you can't beat good ideas from people.
Lots of beautiful names here - one I like particularly.

Sabine is the name of my French Mother-in-law she is a wonderful lady. Also, I think Chantal is a very good name and Regine (our French Auntie). Then our cousins names are Dominique and Veronique is wonderful. Maybe this time shake up the naming order and call her something different like Raquel or Robyn.

I like Lydia if my fourth was a girl that's what I would have called her but she turned out to be a boy named Alex!!
Good Luck. We let the 3 older kids help choose the name but had to put our foot down because they chose Jasper - lovely name but unfortunately he was incredibly ginger they couldn't see the problem but me and the husband could imagine groups of parents tittering about Jasper 'Carrot'!

I applaud your thoughtful effort in choosing just the right name for your 4th child since this be with her ALL of life. my favorite of your suggestions is Madeleine, like the story of little orphan girl that gets in all sorts of adventures & comes out really great. Whatever you may name her I know it will be fabulous for her.

We are having a boy, so I'll give you our girl name & the meaning. It is Luca Bela Georgiana. Luca Bela ie the first name(s) & Georgiana is my grandmother's name. She goes by George. Luca Bela means "beautiful bringer of light". I think it goes great with Isabella. Good Luck!
